Employees from the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, which operates Tampa International Airport, have successfully launched a series of fundraising initiatives, kicking off with the annual Chili Cook-Off. Their efforts culminated in an impressive shopping event where they purchased over 4,000 toys in just one morning at a local Target in Wesley Chapel.

In a show of remarkable community spirit, Sheltair partnered with Vick Tipnes of Tipnes Media Productions to organize a charity event that added more than 12,000 toys to the collection. Signature Flight Support also contributed significantly, providing a generous donation of $25,000 along with 50 bicycles. Several other airport partners, including Manhattan Construction, Kimmins Contracting Corp., Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services, Hensel Phelps, DPR Construction, Suffolk, and Beck, held their own events to support the cause, further enhancing the overall toy drive.

All the collected toys were brought to the Main Terminal at Tampa International Airport, where the Marine Corps Reserve arrived to load three truckloads filled with toys. These donations will be distributed to local children, ensuring that many families in the community experience joy this holiday season.

This inspiring initiative showcases the collaborative spirit and generosity of the Tampa International Airport community, highlighting how collective efforts can significantly impact the lives of local children. It’s a heartwarming reminder of the positive change that can stem from teamwork and dedication to a common cause, fostering a sense of hope and joy during the festive season.
