The Fiji Bureau of Statistics has announced the appointment of Apisalome Tamani as Acting Chief Executive, starting February 4, 2026. Tamani, who is currently the Deputy Government Statistician, will fulfill this role until a permanent replacement is selected.
He takes over from Kemueli Naiqama, who has been recognized for his exemplary leadership and contributions during his time in the position. The Bureau has expressed its best wishes to Naiqama as he embarks on his new role as Fiji’s Ambassador to Japan.
The Fiji Bureau of Statistics is optimistic about Tamani’s leadership capabilities, anticipating further advancements in enhancing the nation’s statistical system under his guidance.
