The Tailevu Rugby Football Union (TRFU) has announced an exciting partnership with Standard Concrete Industries, delivering a remarkable $10,000 sponsorship aimed at bolstering the Union’s ambitious 2025–2030 Business Plan. This strategic alliance will significantly enhance grassroots rugby development, promote career pathways, and support gender inclusivity within the sport.

Joseph Rodan, president of the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby Football Union, expressed his gratitude for the generous support, emphasizing its critical role in allowing the Union to invest in the future of rugby in Tailevu. “On behalf of the Tailevu Rugby Football Union, I wish to sincerely acknowledge Standard Concrete Industries for this generous sponsorship. This partnership is not just about financial support; it symbolizes our commitment to nurturing young talents and building strong career pathways,” Rodan stated. He further highlighted that the collaboration aims to create champions both on and off the field for the province of Tailevu and Fiji as a whole.

In a significant branding change, the men’s senior team will now be known as the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby men’s senior team, while the Under 20 team adopts the same moniker, showcasing the deepened alliance. The women’s senior team will proudly represent the Humes Tailevu Rugby women’s senior team on the pitch, marking a commitment to inclusivity and representation in the sport.

Rodan reiterated the Union’s unwavering dedication to growth and success under the banner of the Standard Concrete Tailevu Rugby Football Union. “Together with Standard Concrete and Humes, the union is committed to building stronger players, stronger teams, and a stronger Tailevu,” he affirmed.

As part of the excitement within the Tailevu Rugby community, the Union is preparing for an upcoming clash against Lautoka in round eight of the Skipper Cup competition, scheduled to kick off at 3 PM at Churchill Park.
