Taco Bell is set to introduce a new chicken nugget menu item starting December 19, responding to fans’ growing demand for more chicken options. The release emphasizes the popularity of chicken nuggets across various fast-food chains, acknowledging the loyal followers of notable brands like McDonald’s and Chick-Fil-A.
Liz Matthews, the global chief food innovation officer at Taco Bell, previously noted the company’s awareness of customer cravings for chicken, hinting that the addition of chicken nuggets aligns with their Cantina Chicken Menu, which features a selection of chicken-themed meals.
Taco Bell’s chicken nuggets will feature a unique marination in zesty jalapeño buttermilk, combined with a breading made of breadcrumbs and crunchy tortilla chips. To enhance the dining experience, the nuggets will be offered alongside three distinctive dipping sauces: jalapeño honey mustard, a spicy ranch sauce developed with Hidden Valley, and Taco Bell’s own signature “Bell sauce.”
Customers can choose from meals including 5-piece and 10-piece servings, priced at $3.99 and $6.99 respectively, or opt for combo meals that include nacho fries and a drink for $5.99 and $8.99. For a heartier option, a full value meal featuring chicken nuggets, sauce, a crunchy taco, a beef chalupa, nacho fries, and a drink will be available for $10.49. This special offering will be available on a limited basis while supplies last, having already undergone successful taste tests in Minneapolis and Houston earlier this year.
As Taco Bell expands its menu in response to customer preferences, this introduction not only caters to chicken enthusiasts but also enhances the diversity of options available for fast-food lovers. It promises to be an exciting addition to the Taco Bell lineup, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
