Krispy Kreme is celebrating the 65th anniversary of the Barbie brand by introducing a limited-edition line of doughnuts inspired by the iconic doll. The announcement was made on Tuesday, revealing four new doughnut creations.
The doughnuts include:
– Barbie Pink Doughnut: An original glazed doughnut featuring pink buttercream, sparkly pink sugar, and topped with Barbie sunglasses.
– Malibu Dream Party Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with Cake Batter Kreme and coated in Malibu blue icing and graham sand, topped with a Barbie DreamHouse piece.
– Barbie Berries ‘n Kreme Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with Strawberry Kreme, dipped in white icing, decorated with pink and purple buttercream, and finished with a Barbie heart.
– Barbie Sweet 65th Doughnut: An original glazed doughnut glazed with chocolate icing and adorned with Barbie Sweet 65th sprinkles.
Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s Global Chief Brand Officer, expressed excitement in a news release, stating, “We’re excited to celebrate the Barbie brand’s 65th birthday with a collaboration that’s full of fun and flavor. We’re bringing Barbie’s iconic fashions to life through delicious doughnuts that are sure to thrill Barbie and Krispy Kreme fans alike.”
The Barbie-themed doughnuts will be available at participating Krispy Kreme locations and select grocery stores offering a special 6-pack. California hosts 40 Krispy Kreme locations throughout the state.
