Representing the Suvavou community, situated near the RB Patel shopping complex, this sub-junior team consists of players under the age of 14. Ravosai, who hails from Wainimala, has been struck by the community’s commitment to using volleyball as a means to uplift and empower its youth. “When I married into the community, I was truly impressed by how much the Suvavou community values volleyball, especially with the tournament now in its 30th year,” he remarked.
He emphasized that the sport serves as a vital initiative to unite the youth and steer them away from negative influences, including the rising drug issues facing the nation. Ravosai lauded the community’s dedication to involving younger players in competitions, advocating for the continuation of this tradition as it nurtures future leaders.
The uplifting spirit of the competition reflects the community’s investment in its youth, promising a brighter future through sports and teamwork.
