Suspension Watch: Key Players at Risk in the Premier League

In the Premier League, several players are currently facing suspensions or are at risk of being suspended due to yellow card accumulations.

Declan Rice of Arsenal received a second yellow card in the match against Brighton & Hove Albion during Matchweek 3, resulting in a one-match suspension that will keep him out of the upcoming north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, September 15.

Southampton’s Jack Stephens is also serving a suspension. He received a straight red card during the 3-0 defeat to Manchester United, which has resulted in a three-match ban. He will miss two Premier League games against Ipswich Town and AFC Bournemouth, as well as an EFL Cup match against Everton, before he can return for a fixture against Arsenal on October 5.

Newcastle United’s Fabian Schar is set to return this weekend for the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers. His three-match suspension, incurred after a straight red card against Southampton in Matchweek 1, included the EFL Cup victory against Nottingham Forest.

Players currently banned include:

– Declan Rice (ARS) – Next available: Matchweek 5
– Jack Stephens (SOU) – Next available: Matchweek 7
