A 23-year-old man from Nabua Topline has been arrested in Suva after allegedly assaulting a police officer on Waimanu Road yesterday afternoon. The incident unfolded as officers from the Central Division, K9 unit, and Southern Division were responding to reports of disturbances in the area.
According to police reports, the situation escalated when the suspect attacked one of the officers before fleeing into a nearby home. Law enforcement quickly initiated a pursuit and managed to apprehend the suspect. Unfortunately, during the altercation, the officer sustained injuries.
