Cardi B has welcomed her third child just weeks after filing for divorce from her husband, Offset, a rapper from the group Migos. On Thursday, she shared several photos and videos on Instagram showing herself in the hospital with her new baby daughter, who was wearing a pink hat.
In her post, she described her daughter as “the prettiest lil thing” and included the date, September 7, 2024, along with two pink flowers.
One photo features Cardi B, whose birth name is Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, alongside Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, and their two other children. In another image, Offset can be seen holding their newborn daughter. He also has three children from previous relationships, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.
Cardi B and Offset tied the knot in 2017 and have experienced several ups and downs throughout their marriage, with Cardi filing for divorce twice before. Her most recent filing occurred in August, and her representative stated, “This is not based on any one particular incident; it has been a long time coming and is amicable,” according to The Associated Press.
Just hours after announcing her divorce, Cardi revealed on Instagram that she was expecting her third child. She expressed gratitude, saying, “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you; you have brought me more love, more life, and most of all renewed my power.”
