In addition to his victory, Chand showcased his skill by achieving the highest break of the tournament, finishing with a remarkable score of 42. Reddy, who put forth a commendable effort throughout the event, finished as the runner-up, receiving $500 in cash and a trophy for his performance.

During the semifinals, Chand demonstrated his prowess by defeating Lema Matailevu with a score of 3–1, while Reddy secured his spot in the finals with a decisive 3–0 win against Jope Nukuqamo. Both semifinalists were rewarded with $150 each as recognition of their strong performances.

The tournament also featured quarterfinalists Esala Talebula, David Robinson, Navneil Maharaj, and Rajnesh Nand, each of whom took home $50 for their participation.

The JM Snooker Competition pays tribute to the memory of Jan Mohammed, a former President and founding member of the South Seas Club, who passed away in 2006. In a heartfelt gesture, his son Jan Nissar announced that the tournament will become an annual event in celebration of Jan Mohammed’s birthday on February 15.

The event was not only a competitive display of talent but also an opportunity for players from around Fiji to come together in a spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship, making the tournament a resounding success. Such initiatives help to foster community engagement and preserve the legacy of sports culture in the region.
