Supercell has officially released its latest game, Mo.co, to players around the globe, removing the previous invite-only restriction that was in place since its initial launch on March 18th. This new accessibility allows everyone to join in on the action without needing an invitation.

In a statement, Supercell expressed that while Mo.co is now available to all, they remain modest about its marketing push and potential success. “That’s right, mo.co is now officially open for everyone to play, you don’t need to receive an invite,” the company stated, while also encouraging players to engage with the game’s content, including the pursuit of Chaos Monsters.

As for revenue, estimates from AppMagic indicate that Mo.co has generated approximately $3.9 million in gross player spending across both the App Store and Google Play. The game’s earning peaked in its opening week, bringing in around $570,000, but saw a significant drop in June with revenue dipping to $350,000. Sensor Tower’s gaming analyst Sam Aune pointed out that the title’s launch strategy was more cautious compared to Supercell’s previous title, Squad Busters, which may have impacted initial revenue figures.

Aune also noted that Mo.co’s monetization is heavily focused on cosmetics, which could explain its lower revenue per download in relation to Supercell’s other games. While this slower start could be viewed with caution, Supercell has a proven track record of developing long-term successful games, like Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, and Clash Royale. The company has the capability to enhance gameplay and optimize monetization over time, despite Mo.co’s urban fantasy style potentially appealing to a narrower demographic.

The gaming community remains hopeful that with Supercell’s experience and commitment to quality, Mo.co might evolve and attract a larger player base in the future.
