Summer Thrills Await: Pennsylvania’s Amusement Parks Open for 2025!

The summer amusement park season in Pennsylvania has officially begun, welcoming visitors to some of the state’s most popular attractions for 2025. Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom kicked off their season on May 9, opening at 10:30 a.m. This amusement park is located at 4000 Dorney Park Road in Allentown and offers an array of thrilling rides and water attractions.

Hersheypark also opened its doors earlier in the season on April 5, followed by Kennywood which welcomed guests on May 3. These parks are part of a lineup of adventurous spots that families can explore this summer.

In addition to Dorney Park and Hersheypark, several other amusement parks in Pennsylvania have already opened for the season. Dutch Wonderland began operations on April 5, followed by Knoebels Amusement Resort on April 26, and Waldameer & Water World on May 3.

Looking ahead, DelGrosso’s Amusement Park is scheduled to open on May 17, while Sesame Place Philadelphia will unveil its water attractions on May 24. DelGrosso’s is located at 4352 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd. in Tipton, PA, providing additional options for summer fun. Idlewild SoakZone in Pittsburgh will also be starting its season on May 17.

With families eager for summer activities, this opening marks a wonderful opportunity for enjoyment and creating lasting memories at Pennsylvania’s amusement parks.
