The couple shared the news through a joint statement on their Instagram stories, addressing long-standing rumors regarding the state of their relationship.
In their heartfelt message, they expressed, “After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple. We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing.” They acknowledged the irony of asking for privacy, given their history of openness about their relationship, but emphasized the importance of kindness and respect during this challenging time.
Speculation about their relationship troubles had been ongoing for over a year, with signs suggesting that the couple had been facing difficulties. Cooke mentioned during an interview at BravoCon 2025 that navigating a relationship on camera hasn’t been easy, stating, “We are not perfect. We’ve never tried to portray a perfect couple.” Meanwhile, Batula previously noted to Us Weekly how therapeutic it was to reflect on their challenges through the lens of reality television.
Their journey began when they started dating during Season 1 of “Summer House,” which aired in 2017, followed by Cooke’s proposal in the Season 3 finale during 2018. However, their wedding plans were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, eventually taking place in September 2021 and featured in the Season 6 finale.
Looking ahead, both Cooke and Batula will continue to appear on “Summer House,” with Season 10 set to premiere on February 3, followed by streaming on Peacock. Viewers can anticipate seeing the dynamics between the two unfold onscreen, which Bravo has indicated will involve “tension.”
