BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, June 21. Jeenbek Kulubayev, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), to address crucial matters concerning the organization. Their discussions took place at the OTS Secretariat office in Istanbul, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
During their meeting, Kulubayev highlighted the importance of the OTS’s permanent executive body in facilitating the successful achievement of the organization’s objectives. He stressed the need for timely and effective implementation of decisions made by the heads of state of OTS member nations, including those outlined in the Bishkek Declaration.
Secretary-General Omuraliev provided Kulubayev with detailed updates on the Secretariat’s current activities and the preparations for upcoming OTS events, reinforcing the collaboration aimed at strengthening ties among Turkic nations.
The Organization of Turkic States, formerly known as the Turkic Council, includes almost all Turkic-speaking sovereign nations and aims to enhance cooperation among them. The General Secretariat is based in Istanbul, Türkiye, serving as a central hub for initiatives that unite these countries.
