State of Play Japan promises fresh updates on Marvel Tokon and Phantom Blade Zero

Sony has revealed a special State of Play Japan set to stream online this week, showcasing an array of updates and announcements for games rooted in Japan and across Asia. The event will take place on November 11 at 2 PM Pacific, 5 PM Eastern, and 10 PM UK time, or 7 AM in Japan on November 12.

This edition of State of Play promises to last for over 40 minutes and will be hosted by renowned voice actor Yuki Kaji, diverging from the usual format. In keeping with the focus on the regional gaming landscape, the show will be presented entirely in Japanese, with English subtitles available for international viewers.

Fans are eagerly anticipating updates on several titles, particularly Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a fighting game developed by Arc System Works in collaboration with Sony and Marvel Games, which is set to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC. Additionally, viewers may gain insights into the upcoming release of Phantom Blade Zero, a highly anticipated wuxia action RPG for PC and PS5, alongside any updates on the Horizon MMO currently in development by NCSoft.
