Celebrities including Shakira, Matthew McConaughey, Eva Longoria, and Khloé Kardashian have come together to express their condolences and support for the victims of the recent flooding in Texas. As the state grapples with the devastating impact of the disaster, many stars are stepping up to provide financial aid and raise awareness.

Country artist Robert Earl Keen, whose ranch in Kerrville felt the impact of the disaster, announced he will donate all of his tour merchandise sales to flood relief efforts. Keen is also in the process of organizing a benefit concert to further aid those affected.

Shakira, following her concert on July 5 in San Antonio, pledged to donate a portion of the proceeds to Hill Country flood disaster relief. She dedicated her performance to the victims and expressed her heartbreak over the tragedy in heartfelt statements across social media, urging others to help. “I can only think of their families and their immense pain. My prayers are with you on this sad day,” she wrote.

Matthew McConaughey, a native Texan from Uvalde, highlighted the severe loss experienced, stating that over 70 lives have been claimed by the floods. He encouraged people to support each other during this difficult time, emphasizing the need for community and compassion.

Eva Longoria also shared her thoughts, expressing disbelief over the extent of the flooding, particularly as it affected familiar locations like Camp Mystic. She reflected on the emotional toll of the disaster and the importance of caring for one’s mental health amid such devastation.

Country singers Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris also voiced their concerns. Lambert announced her nonprofit organization, MuttNation Foundation, is collaborating with Kerrville Pets Alive to help pet owners impacted by the flooding. Morris echoed supportive sentiments and encouraged donations through her social media channels.

Other celebrities such as Hilary Duff, Khloé Kardashian, Billie Eilish, and Lana Del Rey also posted messages of support and solidarity with those suffering from the floods.

In addition, the NFL pledged $1.5 million for immediate and long-term aid to victims, complemented by contributions from the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans. The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders further announced a $500,000 donation to the flood relief efforts.

The collective response illustrates a deep sense of community and solidarity, showcasing how individuals and organizations are committed to providing help in the face of hardship. This tragedy stems from challenging circumstances, but it also brings to light the resilience and generosity of the Texas community and beyond.
