Starbucks is embracing its creative side by integrating its secret menu into the mobile app for the first time, with this feature launching on July 14. Customers will now find these unique twists on classic drinks, along with customer creations, conveniently located under the “offers” tab. The secret menu will see fresh items added regularly.
To celebrate this exciting addition, Starbucks is introducing four new secret menu beverages:
1. Cookies on Top: A delightful Cold Brew infused with two pumps of vanilla syrup, topped with vanilla sweet cream cold foam and cookie crumbles, reminiscent of cookies and cream.
2. Dragonfruit Glow-up: This vibrant Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher is enhanced with peach juice blend, served blended, and finished with vanilla sweet cream cold foam.
3. Lemon, Tea & Pearls: A refreshing combination of black tea and lemonade featuring raspberry-flavored popping pearls for a unique texture.
4. Just Add White Mocha: This drink reimagines the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso, incorporating two pumps of white chocolate mocha sauce and topped with vanilla sweet cream cold foam.
In addition to the new menu offerings, Starbucks is launching a secret menu contest where imaginative customers have a chance to win up to $30,000. From July 14 to July 20, customers and baristas can submit their drink ideas, with four finalists selected to have their creations featured on the secret menu from August 18 to August 25. Each finalist will receive a $5,000 prize. During the voting period from August 18 to 20, fans can choose their favorite finalist on Instagram, with the grand prize winner receiving an additional $25,000.
Starbucks has a history of successful customer-created drinks, such as the Cotton Candy Frappuccino from 2015, and the Lavender Haze inspired by Taylor Swift. Several of these secret recipes have made such an impression that they transitioned to the official menu, including the popular Pink Drink and the Honey Citrus Mint Tea, demonstrating Starbucks’ acknowledgement and celebration of its customers’ creativity.
This initiative not only enhances engagement with their fanbase but also underscores Starbucks’ commitment to innovation in flavor and community involvement.
