Starbucks has expanded its menu to include a new line of drinks designed for those seeking a protein boost with their caffeine fix. Customers in the United States and Canada can now enjoy Protein Cold Foam and Protein Lattes, which incorporate protein-enhanced milk, delivering between 15 to 36 grams of protein in a grande (16-ounce) serving.

The Protein Cold Foam, which contains about 15 grams of protein in a grande, is a versatile addition that can top any iced beverage. It is available in various flavors such as banana, vanilla, sugar-free vanilla, chocolate, matcha, salted caramel, brown sugar, and a plain option with no added sugar. Seasonal flavors, including pumpkin and pecan, are also offered.

This new protein-rich milk, blended fresh with unflavored protein powder, can be customized into other popular Starbucks beverages like lattes, shaken espressos, and refreshers.

Additionally, Starbucks announced plans to release a ready-to-drink version of the cold foam in grocery and convenience stores later this year, widening the availability of these protein options outside of their cafes.

The current menu of protein-enhanced beverages includes several tempting options:

– The Iced Banana Cream Protein Matcha is a creamy matcha latte topped with Banana Protein Cold Foam, delivering 24 grams of protein.

– The Iced Vanilla Cream Protein Latte layers espresso with a vanilla flavor and Vanilla Protein Cold Foam, providing 26 grams of protein.

– The Chocolate Cream Protein Cold Brew combines Starbucks Cold Brew with vanilla syrup and Chocolate Protein Cold Foam, offering about 19 grams of protein.

– The Sugar-Free Vanilla Protein Matcha, available hot or iced, includes sugar-free vanilla syrup and protein-boosted milk, contributing 28 to 36 grams of protein.

– The Sugar-Free Vanilla Protein Latte offers espresso with sugar-free vanilla and enriched milk, supplying 27 to 29 grams of protein.

– The Protein Matcha combines classic syrup, unsweetened matcha, and protein-boosted milk for 28 to 36 grams of protein.

– Finally, the Vanilla Protein Latte delivers a smooth espresso blended with sweet vanilla flavor and protein-boosted milk, containing 27 to 29 grams of protein.

Each drink can be tailored further with the new Protein Cold Foam or protein-enhanced milk for an additional charge.

By introducing these protein-rich beverages, Starbucks is catering to the increasing demand for nutritional enhancement in everyday drink choices. This innovation not only appeals to health-conscious customers but also reflects broader consumer trends toward wellness and functional foods.
