Colley’s extensive career spanned over six decades and included notable appearances in stage, film, and television productions. He is also remembered for his role as Jesus in Monty Python’s “Life of Brian” and as the Duke of Vienna in the BBC adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Measure for Measure.” His versatile talent led him to work in various genres, including a memorable performance in Clint Eastwood’s “Firefox” and the WWII series “War and Remembrance.”

Admiral Piett, portrayed by Colley, first appeared in “The Empire Strikes Back,” where he is most famously seen receiving Darth Vader’s stern reprimand.
