“Star-Studded Cast Takes on Modern Romance in Lena Dunham’s ‘Good Sex’”

Mark Ruffalo and Tucker Pillsbury, known as Role Model, are joining Natalie Portman in the cast of “Good Sex,” a romantic comedy directed and written by Lena Dunham for Netflix. The film follows Ally, a therapist who, after a decade in a struggling relationship, is about to turn 40 and cautiously reenters the New York dating scene. Ally’s journey leads her to two very different men—one in his twenties and another in his fifties—who teach her that there isn’t a universal guide to fulfilling sexual relationships.

The film is produced by Portman and Sophie Mas for MountainA, with Dunham and Michael Cohen producing for Good Thing Going Productions. Tim Bevan and Michael Sledd are executive producers, along with Michaela Celella for MountainA.

“Good Sex” is one of two romantic comedies that Dunham has lined up for Netflix, the other being “Too Much,” which stars Will Sharpe and Megan Stalter and is expected to debut on July 10.

In addition to this project, Ruffalo is fresh off the successes of Bong Joon Ho’s “Mickey 17” and his Oscar-nominated performance in Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Poor Things.” He stars in the indie series “Hal & Harper,” alongside Cooper Raiff and Lili Reinhart, which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He will also appear in the upcoming HBO miniseries “Task” and in films like Amazon MGM’s “Crime 101” and Lionsgate’s “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.”

Pillsbury, a rising star in the music world, is recognized for his albums “Rx” and “Kansas Anymore.” He is represented by Paradigm, Wasserman Music, and Myman Greenspan Fox.

This project highlights the exploration of modern relationships and intimacy at different life stages, providing both an entertaining and relatable perspective on dating in today’s world.
