Daveed Diggs, Mason Gooding, Chase Sui Wonders, Johnny Knoxville, and Margaret Cho have joined the cast of “I Want Your Sex,” a thriller directed by Gregg Araki and produced by Black Bear. The film stars Olivia Wilde, Cooper Hoffman, and Charli XCX and has recently completed production in Los Angeles.
The specifics of the roles for Diggs, Gooding, Wonders, Knoxville, and Cho remain undisclosed. “I Want Your Sex” is described as a provocative exploration of themes such as desire, domination, and fantasy. The storyline follows Elliot, played by Hoffman, who secures a thrilling position with the acclaimed artist Erika Tracy, portrayed by Wilde. As Elliot becomes Erika’s sexual muse, he quickly realizes he is unprepared for the intense journey that leads him into a world filled with sex, obsession, power, betrayal, and murder.
The screenplay was co-written by Karley Sciortino and Araki. Producing the film are Seth Caplan, Araki, Sciortino, and Black Bear’s Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler. Executives John Friedberg, Joanne Roberts Wiles, and Courtney L. Cunniff are overseeing the project for Black Bear, which is financing the film and managing its international rights, while CAA Media Finance is handling U.S. rights. The casting was done by Arlie Day and Mike Page, who also serve as associate producers.
