Broadway Barks has revealed an exciting lineup of celebrities for its 27th annual dog and cat adoption event, scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM in Shubert Alley. Co-founded by the renowned Bernadette Peters, the event will be co-hosted by Peters and Beth Leavel, with production support from Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
The newly announced celebrity participants include a variety of talented performers from acclaimed Broadway shows. Among those featured are Ali Louis Bourzgui from “Hadestown,” Preston Truman Boyd from “Pirates! The Penzance Musical,” and Danny Burstein from “Gypsy,” among others. Other famous names such as Audra McDonald, Bebe Neuwirth, and Brad Oscar will also be lending their star power to this worthy cause.
This year’s vibrant poster art has been crafted by artist Stacy Lazzara, adding a visual flair to the event. BARKS will commence with a “meet and greet” featuring all the adoptable pets beginning at 3 PM, followed by a unique opportunity for adoptees to take the stage from 5 to 6:30 PM alongside Broadway favorites during the celebrity presentations.
