John Stamos has extended his support to his former Full House co-star, Dave Coulier, who recently announced that he has been diagnosed with Stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Stamos took to Instagram to share his affection, posting several nostalgic photos of the duo from their time on the iconic show. He expressed his feelings in the caption, stating, “My brother from day 1. Love you @dcoulier and I’ll be by your side through it all.”

Coulier disclosed his diagnosis during an interview on the Today show, describing how he initially felt unwell for about a month before discovering a swollen lymph node in his groin. Despite normal results from blood tests and an EKG, the lump prompted further action as it continued to enlarge. Following a biopsy, Coulier received the shocking news that he had B-cell lymphoma. He recounted his initial reaction, saying, “The first thing I said to them was, ‘Wait a minute — cancer?’” He likened the discovery to being “punched in the stomach,” a sentiment that resonates with many who face similar unexpected diagnoses.

Currently, Coulier is undergoing chemotherapy and is expected to complete his treatment by February 2025. He described his experience as a “roller coaster,” sharing the emotional ups and downs that come with the treatment process.

Stamos and Coulier played beloved characters Jesse Katsopolis and Joey Gladstone on Full House for nine seasons alongside the late Bob Saget, who portrayed Danny Tanner. The bonds formed during filming have endured, particularly in light of Saget’s untimely passing in 2022.

Inspired by Saget’s death, Stamos published a memoir last year titled If You Would Have Told Me, which reflects on his career and personal growth, including his journey towards sobriety and fatherhood. In his statement about writing the memoir, he noted, “If you would have told me is the book I never planned to write, but after losing Bob, finally becoming a father, and wanting to honor all the colorful people who have made me who I am today, I figured if not now, when?”

This heartfelt exchange between Stamos and Coulier highlights the importance of friendship and support during difficult times, showcasing a strong bond that has been nurtured over decades. It serves as a reminder that while challenges like health crises can be daunting, the love and backing of friends can provide strength and comfort.
