He noted the importance of creating an atmosphere of fear utilizing elements like sheer height in the upcoming challenges, different from what was seen in Season 2.

He shared that Season 1 focused on intense competition within a cutthroat capitalist society, while Season 2 explored the theme of rebellion against an oppressive system, ultimately depicting its failure. Aside from the main series, Netflix is also progressing with a second season of Squid Game: The Challenge, a reality competition where 456 players will vie for a cash prize of $4.56 million through challenges that echo the series—minus the lethal stakes. There are also indications that David Fincher may be working on an English-language adaptation of the series.
