Last May, Spotify unveiled an interactive version of its AI-driven DJ, initially allowing users to make real-time music requests solely through voice commands. In response to user feedback, the company is now enhancing the feature by introducing typed requests, among other updates aimed at improving the overall user experience.
One of the most significant additions is the ability to issue typed music requests. This enhancement addresses one of the most frequently voiced user demands on social media. Now, in addition to vocal interactions, users can conveniently type their requests, making it an ideal option in public, crowded environments, or when silence is preferred.
The improvements also include Spanish language support, officially launched in 2024. Spanish-speaking users can now engage with DJ Livi, the Spanish version of the AI DJ, utilizing both typed and voice requests. This addition aligns DJ Livi closely with its English counterpart, enhancing accessibility for a broader audience.
To further enrich the user experience, the DJ will provide three personalized prompt suggestions, designed to showcase its capabilities while also tailored to recommend music and playlists that resonate with individual listening preferences.
With these thoughtful upgrades, Spotify is likely to attract more users to its innovative DJ feature, thereby fostering greater engagement and personalization in music discovery. The integration of text-based requests and language support reflects Spotify’s commitment to enhancing user interaction and satisfaction.
