Marc Guiu, the former Barcelona forward currently playing for Chelsea, has been called up by Paco Gallardo, the coach of the national U-19 team, to prepare for the upcoming European Championship in Romania, where Spain will defend its title.
A total of 26 players have been selected for the training camp scheduled from June 2 to June 9 in Alfaz del Pi, Alicante. Following this period, Gallardo will announce the final 20 players who will head to Bucharest for the continental tournament. Spain will kick off its campaign against Denmark on June 13 at 17:00, followed by matches against Romania on June 16 at 20:00 and Montenegro on June 19 at 19:00.
During the concentration in Alicante, the Spanish U-19 team will also play a friendly match against the United States on Saturday, June 7, starting at 12:00 at the Guillermo Amor Stadium in Benidorm.
