Two significant rocket launches are set for Wednesday night from Florida’s Space Coast, marking a potential milestone that could tie the yearly launch record of 93, previously achieved last year.
First on the agenda is a SpaceX mission, which will deploy the Starlink 6-81 satellite batch. This launch is scheduled to take place no earlier than 8:31 p.m. from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. If conditions are favorable, this launch will become the 92nd of the year.
Later in the evening, at approximately 10:24 p.m., a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket will take to the skies for the ViaSat-3 Flight 2 (F2) mission. This ultra-high-capacity broadband spacecraft is expected to enhance the capabilities of Viasat’s satellite fleet, lifting off from Launch Complex 41. The Atlas V will utilize five solid rocket boosters, promising an impressive sight for spectators.
Looking ahead, the record-breaking potential continues with the upcoming SpaceX Starlink 10-51 mission, targeted for no earlier than 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, which could set a new record as the 94th launch from the Space Coast. Additionally, Blue Origin is gearing up for its second New Glenn rocket launch, currently rescheduled for no earlier than 2:45 p.m. on November 9.
As Florida’s Space Coast continues to push the boundaries of exploratory missions, excitement builds around achieving a historic year in space launch activity. The countdown is on, and with only a couple of months left in the year, the stage is set for a thrilling showcase in rocket launches.
