Southwest Airlines is adding flights to its schedule to help Taylor Swift fans attend Eras Tour concerts in October.
The airline announced that it will provide 10 additional flights to and from Miami and New Orleans for Swift’s October shows.
On October 17, Southwest will add flights from Baltimore/Washington to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood and from Nashville to Miami, with returns on October 20.
On October 24, extra flights will be available from Austin and Baltimore/Washington to New Orleans. Additional flights will be added from Dallas and San Antonio to New Orleans on the following day.
Southwest has even tied flight numbers to Swift’s songs, such as Flight 22 and Flight 1989, in reference to her song “22” and album “1989.”
“Southwest is excited to welcome Swifties and looks forward to celebrating with them as they hit the road to see one of the most successful female artists of all time!” the airline stated. “And remember, just like your first two checked bags, bracelets fly free!”
Swift’s global tour has made her a billionaire, thanks to the significant revenue generated from the shows. It has also positively impacted host cities, which have seen significant increases in spending whenever Swift and her fans are in town.
