Southeastern Louisiana Baseball Welcomes Game-Changing Recruiting Class

Southeastern Louisiana University baseball head coach Bobby Barbier has announced the addition of 21 new players as the team begins its fall practice in preparation for the 2025 spring season. This year’s recruiting class consists of three Division I transfers, eight junior college players, and ten freshmen, all of whom played high school baseball last year. The new recruits boast significant accolades, including three junior college All-Americans, one Gold Glove recipient, a National Pitcher of the Year winner, two All-Region players, and an All-Conference honor recipient. Among the high school players, four are ranked in the top 500 by Perfect Game, with three more in the top 1,000.

“We are very excited about this group,” said Barbier. “I am so thankful for our staff and the time that they spent on the road putting this class together.” The Division I transfers include infielder-outfielder Ben Robichaux and right-handed pitcher Patrick Vienne from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, along with outfielder Logan Walters from Jacksonville State.

The junior college transfers consist of infielder-outfielder Mo Little and infielder-outfielder Brady McGee from East Central, Giovanni Licciardi and left-handed pitcher Luke Barbier from Delgado, right-handed pitchers Blake Lobell and Nick Gisclair from LSU Eunice, right-handed pitcher Luke Lirette from Southwest Mississippi, and right-handed pitcher Tony Torres from El Paso.
