Southeastern Baseball Welcomes 21 New Players Ahead of 2025 Season

Southeastern Louisiana University baseball coach Bobby Barbier has announced the addition of 21 new players to the team as they kick off fall practice in preparation for the 2025 spring season. This incoming recruiting class features three Division I transfers, eight junior college athletes, and ten freshmen who were recently in high school.

Among these newcomers are three junior college All-Americans, including a Gold Glove winner and a National Pitcher of the Year recipient, along with two All-Region players and a conference honor winner. Four of the high school graduates are recognized in Perfect Game’s top-500, with three more listed in the top-1,000.

“We are very excited about this group,” said Barbier. “I am so thankful for our staff and the time that they spent on the road putting this class together.”

The Division I transfers include infielder-outfielder Ben Robichaux and right-handed pitcher Patrick Vienne from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, as well as outfielder Logan Walters from Jacksonville State. The junior college additions are infielder-outfielder Mo Little and infielder-outfielder Brady McGee (East Central), Giovanni Licciardi and left-handed pitcher Luke Barbier (Delgado), right-handed pitcher Blake Lobell and right-handed pitcher Nick Gisclair (LSU Eunice), right-handed pitcher Luke Lirette (Southwest Mississippi), and right-handed pitcher Tony Torres (El Paso).

The high school recruits include right-handed pitchers Truitt Webb (Paris, Tenn.), Levi Shaffer (Keller, Texas), Brady St. Pierre (LaPlace, La.), Quinn Smith (Paulina, La.), and Braden Farizo (Bush, La.), left-handed pitcher Nik Toups (Lake Charles, La.), and infielder-outfielder Justin Domiano (Hammond, La.), among others.

Fall practice is currently underway, leading up to the 2025 Southeastern baseball season, which begins in mid-February. Fans are encouraged to support the program by joining the Diamond Club or the exclusive S Club for alumni. Membership inquiries can be directed to the Lion Athletics Association.
