“Dancing with the Stars” is set to celebrate “Soul Train Night,” marking the beginning of a two-night event where the remaining 11 couples will showcase their skills in performances inspired by the legendary musical variety show “Soul Train.”
Dancer Rylee Arnold expressed excitement, stating, “It’s going to be very fun.” Each couple aims to impress with their routines, ensuring they stay in the competition.
Olympic athlete Stephen Nedoroscik will perform a quickstep to Stevie Wonder’s classic “Superstition.” Although he revealed that the song isn’t his preferred style, he and his partner found it enjoyable. Meanwhile, “Bachelor” star Joey Graziadei and partner Jenna Johnson are excited for their jive performance to “Shout.”
Actor Reginald VelJohnson will take on the foxtrot accompanied by “I Can See Clearly Now,” sharing that he has made preparations to enhance his performance with special hand movements. His partner, Emma Slater, chimed in, “so look for the sunshine!”
Supermodel Brooks Nada and Gleb Savchenko promise to turn up the heat with their rumba to “Sexual Healing,” with Nada humorously noting, “My mom and dad can’t watch this!” Last week’s top scorers, Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong, will perform a cha-cha to “It’s Tricky,” with Armstrong aiming to showcase a different side of Kinney during their dance.
Olympian Ilona Maher will learn to foxtrot to “Lady Marmalade,” with her partner Alan Bersten teasing the audience about what to expect.
No couples will be eliminated following this evening’s performances. However, the competition continues on Tuesday with the themed “Hair Band Night,” featuring guest judge Gene Simmons.
“Dancing with the Stars” airs Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
