Bollywood is abuzz with anticipation as renowned filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya has officially kicked off the production of his latest family entertainer, “Yeh Prem Mol Liya.” Starring the talented pair of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, filming began on November 1, 2025. Initially titled “Prem Ki Shaadi,” the name change was confirmed through an Instagram post by photographer Ravendra Singh Bhadauria, which showcased the film’s clapperboard featuring the new title.
Reports indicate that the film’s first shooting schedule took place in Kandivali, featuring a grand production that included Khurrana, Sharvari, and a vast ensemble of around 200 background dancers. Staying true to Barjatya’s signature style, the film promises to explore themes of family and love, hallmarks of his past successful works.
The production is expected to move to Mehboob Studios next, where the team plans to complete nearly 80% of the filming. Following this, a few outdoor sequences are scheduled, with an aim to conclude the shooting process by January 2026. The film also boasts a stellar cast, including Anupam Kher, Seema Pahwa, and Supriya Pathak, amplifying the excitement surrounding this ambitious project.
In collaboration with Mahaveer Jain Films, Rajshri Productions, a respected name in Indian cinema, is backing this endeavor. This partnership follows the success of Barjatya’s prior film, “Uunchai,” with both Barjatya and Jain eager to continue delivering heartfelt narratives that resonate with audiences.
