Bollywood is buzzing with excitement as Sooraj Barjatya has officially commenced shooting for his new family entertainer, titled “Yeh Prem Mol Liya.” Starring the talented duo of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, the film began production on November 1, 2025, following earlier discussions that it would be called “Prem Ki Shaadi.” The change in title was confirmed by a recent post on Instagram from photographer Ravendra Singh Bhadauria, who shared a snapshot of the film’s clapperboard featuring the new title.
According to reports, a substantial first schedule of filming took place in Kandivali, showcasing a grand production with Khurrana, Sharvari, and a cast of about 200 background dancers. With an aim to create a vibrant atmosphere, Barjatya’s signature style is expected to shine through, incorporating themes of family and love that have been central to his previous works.
The upcoming schedule for “Yeh Prem Mol Liya” is set to continue at Mehboob Studios, where the team intends to complete approximately 80% of the shoot. Following this, a few outdoor sequences will be filmed, with plans to wrap everything by January 2026. The film also features acclaimed actors Anupam Kher, Seema Pahwa, and Supriya Pathak in pivotal roles, further amplifying the excitement surrounding the project.
As part of the production, Rajshri Productions, known for its legacy in Indian cinema, joins hand in hand with Mahaveer Jain Films, a partnership that has already proven successful with Barjatya’s last film, “Uunchai.” Both Barjatya and Jain expressed great enthusiasm for their collaborative ventures, aiming to deliver heartfelt storytelling that resonates with audiences.
The anticipation building around “Yeh Prem Mol Liya” reflects a broader trend in Bollywood towards family-oriented narratives that embrace emotional themes. This optimism in storytelling not only hints at a playful yet profound cinematic experience in the coming future but also highlights the positive trajectory Bollywood seems to be on, aiming to connect more deeply with viewers through engaging narratives. As this film progresses, it has the potential to evoke laughter, warmth, and a cherished sense of connection among audiences when it eventually hits the silver screen.
