NBC4 Meteorologist Kelley Moody noted that the current storm is moving out, but a second system is set to arrive. “This is No. 2 that is set to come on in and make a little bit of a mess for the Monday morning commute,” she said.
The upcoming storm is anticipated to hit Ventura County around 6 a.m. Monday, progressing southeast to Los Angeles and Orange Counties by approximately 10 a.m. Moody has cautioned that this timing could shift, but the potential for heavy rain during the busy commute is warning enough for drivers to exercise additional caution. As Monday’s storm subsides, lingering showers might persist into Tuesday, but forecasters indicate a third storm will soon follow. “No. 3 is set to arrive as we look toward the latter half of this upcoming week,” Moody stated, although the timing and strength of this system remain uncertain.
