The FourLeaf Air Show is set to return to Long Island’s Jones Beach in 2025, marking a thrilling Memorial Day Weekend celebration. This much-anticipated tradition will feature performances from the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, among other military acts, and serves as an unofficial kickoff to the summer season.
Scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, the event is expected to attract around 250,000 spectators, who will witness high-flying aerobatics and demonstrations. The Thunderbirds, headlining the show, will share the sky with other notable teams, including the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team and the U.S. Navy F-35C Tac Demonstration Team.
The rehearsals leading up to the weekend were met with excitement, as attendees bundled up against the cool breeze, marveling at the precision and thrill of the performances. New York State Parks Regional Director George Gorman highlighted the emotional connection the show creates with attendees, stating, “It is a very good feeling. I guess you would say it’s the American feeling.”
Admission to the FourLeaf Air Show is free, though parking will cost $10. The show promises to deliver 37 minutes of pride in aerial performance, according to Lt. Col. Taylor Wright of the Thunderbirds. Following the event on Long Island, the team will continue their season with performances at various locations, including the U.S. Air Force Academy and Beale Air Force Base.
Alongside the air show, the Jones Beach Theater will kick off its summer concert series later in May, featuring an impressive lineup including country star Luke Bryan, Halsey, and the Dave Matthews Band, ensuring that this summer on Long Island will be filled with entertainment both on land and in the skies.
As the FourLeaf Air Show approaches, it offers a perfect opportunity for families and friends to gather and celebrate their nation’s heroes while enjoying the start of summer festivities.
