Snoop Dogg Takes Center Stage: The Voice’s Tallest Coach Debuts!

Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., better known as Snoop Dogg, was born on October 20, 1971. The second of three children, he earned his nickname from his childhood affection for the Peanuts character, Snoopy. Currently, Snoop Dogg is making his debut as a coach on NBC’s The Voice for its 26th season.

Fans can watch the season premiere of The Voice on Monday, September 23 at 8/7c on NBC, with episodes available the following day on Peacock.

Snoop Dogg’s journey in hip hop began in school hallways, where he discovered his love for performing to attract crowds. He collaborated with influential artists such as Nate Dogg, Warren G, and Dr. Dre, helping to shape the sound of West Coast hip hop in the 1990s. His unique vocal style and magnetic charm earned him a significant place in music, transforming him into a global icon who has explored various facets of entertainment.

Beyond his music, Snoop has diversified his portfolio, engaging in projects such as cooking alongside Martha Stewart and providing commentary during the Olympics. Amidst his many ventures, a key question arises: just how tall is Snoop Dogg? Standing at 6’4″, or 76 inches, he towers over the average male height of 5’9″.

To give a fun perspective, this height translates to approximately 3.8 medium-sized dogs, as an average medium dog is around 20 inches tall at the shoulder. Snoop is fond of dogs and even markets his own pet accessories under the brand Snoop Doggie Doggs. Notably, he has various breeds, including boxers and pitbulls, which provide different height comparisons.

In another unusual measurement, during a lighthearted anecdote, Snoop shared a story of befriending a cockroach in his apartment. He affectionately named the roach “The Gooch,” and it grew to nearly 6 inches over time. In comparison, it would take about 50 average cockroaches stacked together to match Snoop’s height.

Snoop Dogg’s accomplishments in the music industry are highlighted by his numerous certified records from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His debut single, “Who Am I? (What’s My Name?)”, along with his first album, Doggystyle, garnered platinum certifications. Over the years, Snoop has accumulated a series of gold and platinum records, further establishing his legacy.

For visualization, a vinyl record, which is 12 inches in diameter, would require a stack of about 6.3 records to equal Snoop’s height.

As a coach on The Voice, Snoop sits in a chair that stands 88 inches tall, which means he is only 0.86 of a chair’s height. His fellow coaches this season are Gwen Stefani at 5’6″, Reba McEntire at 5’7″, and Michael Bublé at 5’10”. Snoop’s 6’4″ stature makes him the tallest among them.

As the 26th season of The Voice unfolds, audiences can look forward to seeing how Snoop Dogg’s coaching style measures up against his fellow mentors. The height comparisons are fun, but only the finale will reveal who stands tallest in terms of mentorship.
