Snoop Dogg is set to reprise his role in Olympic coverage as NBCUniversal has confirmed his involvement in the upcoming Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, slated for February 2026. Known for his engaging and unique perspective, the artist will once again join forces with NBC host Mike Tirico, following their successful collaboration during the Paris 2024 Games.
In a teaser video released by NBC, Snoop Dogg, adorned in Team USA apparel, hinted at his return, saying: “Guess who’s back?” NBC has outlined that Snoop will be actively present at numerous Winter Olympics events, supporting athletes, their friends, and families live from Italy.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Snoop commented, “I am excited to be back with my main man Mike Tirico for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina. The D-O-double-G will be on the scene, and I am looking forward to celebrating with the athletes and their families. The Olympics is the biggest stage in the world and, as everyone knows, I’m all about sports, bringing people together, and unifying while bringing the fun.”
Molly Solomon, NBC Olympics’ executive producer, highlighted the impact Snoop had during the Paris Games, stating, “In Paris, Snoop amplified the joy of the Summer Olympics: training with the athletes, watching nervously alongside their families, and cheering on their performances. He connected with viewers in a way we’ve never seen before and now he’s primed to return as Team USA’s most effusive supporter.”
Snoop’s involvement in sports is extensive. He has participated in various sports events, including Super Bowl halftime shows, and is a part-owner of the Welsh soccer club Swansea. His influence extends across many platforms, evidenced by his enormous following on Instagram, currently nearing 89 million.
Considering Snoop’s Southern California roots, it is anticipated that he will play a role in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles as well. His return is eagerly awaited by fans and athletes alike, as he continues to blend music, sports, and entertainment on a global stage.
