Snoop Dogg Joins The Voice: What to Expect from His Coaching Debut?

Snoop Dogg Makes His Debut as a Coach on NBC’s The Voice

Snoop Dogg, a legendary figure in hip hop, is set to make his debut as a Coach on the upcoming season of NBC’s The Voice. Born Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr. on October 20, 1971, he earned the nickname “Snoop” from the Peanuts character Snoopy and has since become a household name.

The season premiere of The Voice Season 26 is scheduled for Monday, September 23 at 8/7c on NBC and will be available for streaming on Peacock the following day.

Snoop began his music career rapping in school and quickly rose to prominence in the 1990s alongside artists like Nate Dogg and Dr. Dre. His unique voice and captivating charm helped him become a cultural icon, and he has diversified his career into various ventures, including collaborations with Martha Stewart and commentating on the Olympics.

Standing at an impressive 6’4″, Snoop Dogg is significantly taller than the average male height of 5’9″ in the United States.

To put his height into perspective, Snoop’s stature can be measured in different ways. For instance, he would be approximately 3.8 medium-sized dogs tall, given that an average dog reaches about 20 inches at the shoulder. Among his own pets are various breeds, each providing a unique measurement when compared to his height.

In a humorous anecdote, Snoop once developed a bond with a cockroach he found in his apartment, affectionately naming it “The Gooch.” According to him, the roach grew to nearly six inches long during his time with it.

Snoop Dogg also has an illustrious record in the music industry, with numerous platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His debut album, Doggystyle, along with hits like “Drop it Like it’s Hot,” has solidified his place in music history.

The iconic red chairs on The Voice, where Coaches select contestants during the Blind Auditions, are 88 inches tall, meaning Snoop is just shy of one Coach chair in height. He towers over his fellow Coaches this season, including Gwen Stefani at 5’6″, Reba McEntire at 5’7″, and Michael Bublé at 5’10”.

As Season 26 of The Voice approaches, fans are excited to see what Snoop Dogg brings to the competition as a mentor and how he compares to his fellow Coaches. The true measure of his impact will unfold as the season progresses.
