Four individuals from South America, believed to be from Ecuador, alongside two local suspects, have been apprehended following a significant drug raid in Vatia waters. During this operation, Fiji Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu reported that over 100 bags containing suspected cocaine were confiscated.
The successful raid was executed by the joint efforts of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), the Serious Organised Crime and Intelligence Department (SOCID), and the Western Division Taskforce. Commissioner Tudravu emphasized that this operation exemplifies effective collaboration between local and international law enforcement agencies.
