Starbucks is gearing up for one of its most beloved traditions, “Red Cup Day,” happening this Thursday, November 14, 2024. This annual event invites customers to enjoy a free reusable holiday cup with the purchase of any qualifying handcrafted drink from the festive holiday menu.
To take part in Red Cup Day, patrons can visit participating Starbucks locations across the U.S., order through the drive-thru, or utilize the Starbucks mobile app, as well as delivery services like DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub. The limited-edition red holiday cups are available while supplies last and can be earned by ordering any size of the selected holiday beverages.
This year’s selection of qualifying drinks includes favorites such as the Caramel Brulée Latte, Peppermint Mocha, and Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato, among others. Notably, the offer excludes certain beverages, including the Christmas Blend and Starbucks Reserve options.
In a move towards sustainability, Starbucks has revealed that this year’s holiday cups are crafted from 95% recycled materials. Customers who return their cups for reuse will benefit from a $0.10 discount on their future purchases, encouraging eco-friendly practices.
Starbucks is also excited to unveil its expanded holiday menu, which features eight drinks and various food items, including newcomers like the Cran-Merry Orange Refresher and Dark Toffee Bundt. This year’s menu balances returning fan favorites with innovative additions.
In the spirit of enhancing customer experience, Starbucks has committed to simplifying its offerings by eliminating extra charges for non-dairy milk and retiring the controversial olive oil-infused beverages. CEO Brian Niccol emphasizes this initiative as a return to the brand’s roots, prioritizing quality and ensuring a welcoming environment for coffee lovers.
For fans of holiday delights and seasonal flavors, Red Cup Day represents not just an opportunity to enjoy festive drinks but also a chance to embrace practices that support sustainability within the community.
This event not only spreads holiday cheer but also reinforces Starbucks’ commitment to quality and sustainability, promising a joyous season for customers as they sip their favorite holiday beverages.
