Police Constable Lavenia Marama, a devoted mother of two, proudly marked a significant milestone in her life by graduating from the Police Passing Out Parade at Nasova Ground in Suva. The event, held on Friday, celebrated her accomplishment after a demanding yet fulfilling training journey.

Constable Marama reflected on the intense training she endured, which proved especially challenging while managing her responsibilities as a mother. She expressed her joy by stating, “Today is a grateful and unforgettable day for me,” recognizing this achievement as a pivotal moment in her career.

Her success can be attributed to her strong faith and a solid support system, particularly from her children, who she noted were her greatest motivation throughout the process. With over two and a half years of experience in the private sector behind her, she eagerly embraced the opportunity to join the Fiji Police Force after being selected as a recruit.

Now officially a member of the police force, Constable Marama is dedicated to serving her community with integrity and commitment. She shared inspiring advice for other single mothers and young women pursuing their dreams, saying, “No matter what you are facing, don’t give up. Even as a single mother, there are opportunities around you. Just walk towards them and achieve your goals, for yourself and for your children.”

Embarking on her new role, Constable Marama expressed heartfelt gratitude to those who supported her along the way and extended best wishes to the public for the upcoming festive season. Her journey embodies the strength and determination of women, illustrating that with resilience and support, it is possible to overcome obstacles and achieve one’s dreams.
