Alternative rock band Silversun Pickups has put their unique spin on the beloved Yo Gabba Gabba! classic “Party In My Tummy,” with production led by the iconic Butch Vig. This track will feature on the eagerly awaited Yo Gabba GabbaLand! season 2 soundtrack, which will showcase contributions from a stellar lineup including Santigold, Ziggy Marley, Sharon Van Etten, Sleigh Bells, Yola, CHVRCHES, and Hatchie, among others.
Brian Aubert of Silversun Pickups expressed his excitement about being part of such a meaningful project. “What a thrill to be asked to be a part of this special show. A show that means a lot to people,” he stated. He further emphasized the importance of the original song, mentioning the care taken in their cover, aiming to add a fresh twist without straying too far from its essence. “This whole thing was such a pleasure. So yummy. So yummy,” he added.
The new soundtrack is set to be released on January 30 through BMG, aligning with the premiere of the new season on Apple TV. Additionally, fans can look forward to the band’s upcoming album, Tenterhooks, which will drop just a week later on February 6.
