In an unrelated incident, a search is currently underway for a 50-year-old man who went missing in the Tulahewa River in Sigatoka. The man was reportedly swept away by strong currents while attempting to swim across the river after returning from his farm. Although search efforts were launched, they were suspended last night after yielding no results.

These incidents underscore the dangers posed by strong currents and the need for caution near waterways. They serve as a somber reminder of the unpredictable nature of rivers, particularly during adverse weather conditions. As search efforts continue for the missing man, the community remains hopeful for his safe return.
