Actors Shin Min-a and Kim Woo-bin are set to tie the knot on Saturday after a public relationship that has spanned a decade. In a heartwarming gesture ahead of their wedding, the couple made a substantial joint donation totaling 300 million won (approximately $200,000) to various charitable organizations, as revealed by their agency, AM Entertainment.
The donation will benefit notable causes including the Hallym Burn Foundation, the Asan Medical Center in Seoul, and the humanitarian group Good Friends. Shin Min-a has been committed to charitable work since 2009, focusing particularly on supporting burn victims—individuals who often face significant medical challenges and barely receive public attention. Meanwhile, Kim Woo-bin has been making anonymous donations since 2014 aimed at assisting low-income teenagers. He has continued to contribute annually to the Asan Medical Center, helping children afflicted with cancer and other serious health issues.
The couple’s wedding ceremony is set to take place privately at The Shilla Seoul hotel, where it will be attended only by family, close friends, and relatives. Actor Lee Kwang-soo, who is a longtime friend and colleague of Kim, will host the ceremony.
Shin Min-a began her career as a model in 1998, later achieving fame through appearances in memorable music videos and hit television dramas such as “Beautiful Days,” “My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho,” and “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.” Kim Woo-bin started as a model at Seoul Fashion Week in 2008 before making his acting debut in 2011. He gained widespread recognition through popular dramas like “School 2013” and “The Heirs.” After a health-related hiatus in 2017 for treatment of nasopharyngeal cancer, he made a successful return to acting with projects such as “Alienoid” and “Our Blues” in 2022.
The couple’s relationship began in 2014 when they first crossed paths during an advertisement shoot for a local clothing brand, and they publicly confirmed their romance a year later.
