The Sheraton Fiji Golf Resort and Spa has officially kicked off its festive season with a remarkable attraction: what the hotel manager, Yvo Alexander Van Dijk, claims to be the largest gingerbread house in the South Pacific. This impressive structure, unveiled on December 5th, stretches an impressive 55 meters in length and 30 meters in width, becoming a standout feature in the resort’s lobby.

Van Dijk proudly described the gingerbread house as both a visual delight and a symbol of the resort’s commitment to embracing the holiday spirit. He noted, “We have the biggest gingerbread house in the history of Fiji,” revealing that the creation used nearly a thousand kilos of gingerbread.

The hotel manager emphasized the Sheraton’s goal of fostering a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and international visitors, establishing the resort as a true gathering place. “This is what we would expect of the Sheraton, the world’s gathering place,” he stated, underlining the chance for guests to engage with locals and connect with fellow travelers.

Alongside the breathtaking gingerbread display, Van Dijk assured guests that the resort maintains unmatched quality in its food and beverage offerings, promising an exceptional experience that reflects the high standards associated with the Sheraton brand. As the festive season progresses, the resort is dedicated to nurturing a sense of community and joy among its diverse clientele, positioning itself as a prime destination for holiday celebrations in Fiji. This initiative not only elevates the festive experience for guests but also fosters a spirit of togetherness and warmth during this joyful season.
