Former Ba captain Shalen Lal has been appointed as the new head coach of the Ba Football Association, tasked with leading the Men in Black into the 2026 season. This announcement comes alongside a significant restructuring of the club’s technical leadership team.

Ba FA president Praneel Dayal expressed confidence in these changes, describing them as a strategic move aimed at enhancing the club’s football operations both on and off the field. The appointment of Lal reflects a commitment to revitalizing the team’s competitive spirit and performance.

In a related development, Rodeck Singh has stepped down as Director of Football for health reasons. The Ba FA acknowledged Singh’s contributions and extended best wishes for his recovery. His position will be filled by Ravinesh Kumar, who brings a wealth of experience to oversee football operations from grassroots levels to the senior team.

The newly formed technical setup will also include Yogendra Dutt as Technical Advisor and Malakai Kainihewe as Assistant Coach. Additionally, former Ba goalkeeper Iosefo Vosaboto has been appointed as Goalkeeper Coach, while Sanil Prakash takes on the role of Team Manager.

Dayal emphasized the association’s determination to restore Ba’s proud football legacy and called upon supporters to rally behind the Men in Black as they gear up for the upcoming season. The team is set to commence preparations for the 2026 season in the coming weeks under the new leadership of Lal and his coaching staff. This strategic overhaul promises a hopeful future for Ba FC as they aim to strengthen their standing in the football community.
