Shakira Unveils New Song Zoo for Zootopia 2 Soundtrack

Shakira released the official music video for her new song “Zoo” on Wednesday, which will be featured in the soundtrack for “Zootopia 2.” In addition to contributing her music to the film, she will lend her voice to a character named Gazelle, a charming gazelle.

The video showcases Shakira performing in front of hundreds of beloved characters from the animated children’s movie, set in a vibrant metropolitan city inhabited solely by various animal species. The clip quickly gained traction, amassing over 200,000 views and receiving more than 26,000 likes shortly after its publication on DisneyMusic’s YouTube channel.

The song debuted just hours after the Colombian artist teased it and announced its release during a concert in Quito, Ecuador, as part of her tour “Las mujeres ya no lloran.”

“Zootopia 2,” written and directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush, continues to explore the delightful world of anthropomorphic animals, featuring familiar characters like rabbit Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and fox Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman).

The anticipation for the sequel is building, and Shakira’s involvement adds an exciting musical element to the beloved franchise, promising a vibrant start to the next chapter in this whimsical world. The song and video reflect her signature style and continue to resonate with fans across different generations, underscoring the enduring appeal of both the artist and the film series.
