The flash floods resulted from relentless rainfall that began on July 3 and continued through July 4, leading to at least 104 confirmed fatalities, with 84 of those in Kerr County, the area most adversely affected. As rescue operations were underway to locate missing individuals, authorities warned that life-threatening flooding conditions persist, and multiple flash flood warnings remain in effect across the Hill Country.
