Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing significant legal challenges, as his legal team urges a U.S. judge to consider a lenient 14-month prison sentence following his conviction on prostitution-related offenses. This request comes despite the potential 20-year maximum sentence that Combs, 55, could face after a Manhattan jury found him guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Notably, the jury acquitted him of more severe charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering.
In a court submission, Combs’ legal representatives argued for a lesser sentence that includes supervised release with conditions such as drug treatment and therapy.
