Gustavo Scarpa is set to mark a significant milestone in his career as he plays his 100th match for Atlético on Sunday (20th) against Palmeiras in the 15th round of the Brazilian Championship. This match holds additional significance for Scarpa, as he faces the club that played a pivotal role in launching his international football career.

Scarpa joined Atlético in 2024 for five million euros (approximately R$ 28 million), quickly establishing himself as one of the team’s key players. In his debut season, he stood out as the most utilized player with 65 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists. As of 2025, Scarpa continues to be impactful with 34 games played, contributing two goals and leading the team with seven assists.

His inaugural season with Atlético was particularly memorable, highlighted by a crucial goal in the Mineiro Championship final against rivals Cruzeiro, which helped secure the state title for the team.

This year, Scarpa remains an essential component of the squad, consistently starting for most matches under the guidance of coach Cuca.
